Officer Roles and ResponsibilitiesPresidentØ serves as Club's chief executive officerØ responsible for general supervision and operation of the ClubØ presides at Club and Executive Committee meetings and directs the Club in a way which meets educational growth and leadership needs of membersØ establishes long-term and short-term plans for Club growthVice President of EducationØ planning successful Club meetingsØ promotes Toastmasters educational program to Club membersØ orients new members to the Toastmasters program and to the ClubØ makes sure each new member is assigned a mentorØ all members understand the importance of excellent evaluations & know how to evaluateØ arranges for Speech craft, Success/Leadership, and Youth Leadership Programs to be conductedØ encourages members to participate in other Toastmasters activities and programsØ administers speech contestsØ organizes a speakers bureauØ chairs the Education CommitteeØ attends and participates in Executive Committee meetingsØ presides in the absence of the PresidentØ attends and votes at Area and District Council MeetingsØ votes at Regional and International business meetingsVice President of MembershipØ Plans, organizes, and implements a continuous marketing effort which ensures the Club maintains or exceeds 20 members.Ø work w/ groups inside & outside of Toastmasters to promote Club membership retentionØ Helps prepare the semiannual membership report (incl. membership list + dues payment) to World Headquarters.Ø provides for recognition of members who contribute to the increase of membership to Toastmasters InternationalØ maintains an accurate membership roster and attendance recordsØ serves as chairman of Club Membership CommitteeØ attends and participates in Executive Committee meetingsVice President of Public Relationsdevelops, implements, and administers a publicity program that maintains a positive image of Toastmasters International for all members, guests, and the general publicØ responsible for internal and external public relations for the ClubØ preparing and distributing news releases regarding Club activitiesØ publicizing Club eventsØ working with Club officers to develop literature about the ClubØ representing the Club to the mediaØ serving as chairman of the Public Relations CommitteeØ attending and participating in Executive Committee meetingsSecretaryØ responsible for all Club records and correspondencesØ keeps Club Constitution, Bylaws and other official DocumentsØ submits updated membership and officer records to World HeadquartersØ prepares and mails orders for Toastmasters suppliesØ records and reads minutes of Club and Executive Committee meetingsØ circulate TIPS, Supply Catalog, and The Toastmaster Magazine during Club meetingsØ attends and participates in Executive Committee meetingsTreasurerØ developing and executing financial policies, procedures, audits, and controlsØ receives and disburses funds in payment of all obligationsØ develops and recommends a budget to the Club Executive CommitteeØ notifies members of dues payable and collects duesØ presents a verbal and written financial report monthlyØ submits club accounts for auditØ attends and participates in Executive CommitteeSergeant at ArmsØ serves as master host and makes the proper physical arrangements for all Club meetingsØ makes sure each member and guest is welcomed at Club meetingsØ arranges room and equipment for each meetingØ arranges for food service at meal meetingsØ collects ballots and tallies votesØ controls club property between meetingsØ chairs the Social and Reception CommitteeØ attends and participates in Executive Committee Meetings |
